Nikki Foraker :: Hey Baby!

Hello Peachies! Nikki here with a baby card today. I started by stamping the baby and his face from the adorable Hey Baby set. I super quick colored him with antique linen distress ink and an ink blending tool. I stamped and paper pieced his hat from that Hey Baby set.
I stamped and paper pieced his diaper from the May 2013 set. It fits him just perfectly. :) And to finish, I white heat embossed the greeting from the Hey Baby set.

I hope your weekend is just PEACHY! :)

Nikki

p.s. The papers are by Simple Stories.

Cassandra Cauble :: Cheer Up!

Hello everyone!  This is Cassandra from CREATING with COLOR by CASSANDRA.  You may remember a couple of weeks ago when Peachy Keen Stamps teamed up with SVG Cutting Files for a super fun Blog Hop.  Well, one of the DT members for SVG Cutting Files ~ Jamie had this really cute Tissue Holder as a free cutting file on her blog - so I decided to give it a try with my Cameo.

What do you think?  I just love how it turned out!  The cutie patootie little skunk and both sentiments are from the PKS ~ Skunk Cheer Up Set.

I used Copic ~ Sketch Markers to color in my little skunk.  And I added a little bow with The Twinery ~ Blossom Twine.

All the patterned papers are from the Best of My Mind's Eye ~ Volume I.  And all of the cute little flowers are from my stash.

Here is a fun side view so you can see the little pack of tissue.  The little white fence is cut with a Martha Stewart ~ Border Punch.

***Technique Time ~ I thought I would show you something fun today.   For those of you who may be newer to stamping, you might want to sit down for this one...it could be a little shocking.  ;)  I know it was for me the first time I tried it.

As I mentioned earlier, the stamp set I used for my project was the PKS ~ Skunk Cheer Up Set:

You can see that both of the sentiments I used are in a horizontal rectangle shape.  For the sentiment on the bottom, that was perfect, but I wanted to do something a little different for the one toward the top.  Here is the solution . . . wait for it . . . wait for it . . . I CUT MY STAMP!!!   Eeeeeek!!  I know! I know!  The thought of cutting my stamps totally freaked me out the first time too.  But now that I have tried it, I love it!  Here is a picture of my cut stamp:

All you have to do is use a really good pair of scissors and just BE CAREFUL!  Once I cut this horizontal rectangular stamp in half, I could stamp it more like a square.  And don't worry...the next time you want to use it, if you would like it to be in it's original shape, then you can just put it back together like puzzles pieces on your stamping block.  Super easy!  Check it out again:

If you are looking really closely, some of you might notice that it still looks a little different.  Well, to get the look I wanted, after stamping the top half, then I inked up "happen in life" and taped off the "...JUST STINK!".  Then I taped off "happen in life" and then inked up "...JUST STINK!" so that I could stamp it exactly the way I wanted.  And voila!  A customized look for any project!  What do you think?  You can do it!!!  It's so much fun ~ after you get over the shock of it.  ;)

Thanks for stopping by today.  And for more details, hop on over to my blog.  Have a GREAT day everyone!!

Liz Munoz :: Outta This World

Hi Everyone, it's Liz for Liz's Paper Loft, today is my last post as Peachy Keen's May Guest Designer!  I just can't believe how fast this month has gone by!  I had so much fun creating and "peachyfying" all of my projects!  I want to thank Peachy Keen for asking me to be a guest designer and making me feel so welcome!

For my last project I wanted to share a layered tag.  Tags can be so versatile since they can stand alone or be added to a card base.  I used PKSC 14 February and colored them with my copic markers.

For the moon, I used copic markers then added some Distress Stickles to create dimension and slight sparkle.

For the complete recipe you can click HERE to go to my blog!

Thank you again for making me feel so welcome!

Enjoy!

Janice Wilson :: Baby Wipe Technique Tutorial

Hello friends!  It is my day to post to the Peachy Keen Blog.  First I would like to thank all our service men and women for their dedication to our country!  God bless you!

Happy Memorial Day!

I have been trying to offer little tutorials in the hopes that you might be inspired to try something new, or to try it again if it has been awhile.  For me it has been awhile.  I looked to Splitcoaststampers website to see if there was a tutorial that would inspire me.  When I came to the baby wipe technique tutorial, I remembered that I had done this before and was happy with the results.  I did it years ago so I don't have that sample to share with you.  It was before I started blogging.

I used various SU ink colors to make my baby wipe ink pad and stamped the butterflies to make the background paper.  I stamped another butterfly and used a circle punch to punch it out.  Here is the finished card.  The butterfly and sentiment are from PKSC-16 April 2013.

For my next card I used some solid stamps from PKSC-09 September 2012.
I used the leaf to make the background paper and stamped a few acorns and cut them out.  I stamped and paper pieced the scarecrow.  Here is the finished card.

For my final card I used the Striped Wipe technique.  You can view that tutorial HERE!  I used 2 colors of ink to prepare the wipe for stripes.  Sorry I didn't photograph that one.  Here is the completed card.

I didn't use glossy cardstock as suggested.  I used Stampin Up  Whisper White.  I made one of the baby wipes like above and then used it for the striped background by adding alternating dots of ink in a vertical line.  I used some of the scrap cardstock to punch the grass and the butterflies.  I used PK-240 Say It With Flowers.  I love this stamp set.  It is an oldie but goodie!

Have a fabulous day!

Hugs and smiles,
Janice

Amber Kroening :: Happy Birthday Boy!

GOOD MORNING!!
We would like to wish you a very happy Memorial Day Weekend, and to celebrate, we have a
BIG SALE!  Here are all the details about it, and be sure to drop by Peachy Keen Stamps to see our full line of stamps and products available, including the stamp that Amber used for her adorable card today (BELOW).

Happy Birthday Boy :: Amber Kroening!

Good morning, and Happy Friday!  Amber here, from Bella Rose Cards.  I have a fun card to share today using the 4" Moodies.  These faces are PERFECT to use along with your cutting machine.  I cut the boy face and party hat with my Silhouette.  The face stamp was a bit too wide for my card, so I ended up cutting my stamp (gasp!) so it would fit better. You gotta do what you gotta do. =)  I think it turned out really cute, and it was so much easier to stamp the face than it would've been to deal with all of the cut pieces. Cuter too!  I colored his eyes and added some freckles, then added a button to the top of the hat to finish it off. =)  That's all from me today.  Thanks for stopping by!

Saundra Rega :: SUH-WEET Mini Greeting Cards

Hi There, Peachy Fans! Saundra here from Luv Scrapping Together!
I am so glad to be back wtih your today.
For my project today,  I decided to make some mini greeting cards that are perfect for a little pick me up or to use as a gift tag.

These cards measure 3.25"x 3.25".

I cut a scalloped square and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

The fruit is from PK-239 Faceless Fruit. I paper-pieced each one.

Here is a close up each:

As you can see, I added ribbon or twine to each card. I made a total of eight cards, 2 of each design. My plan was to have a box finished for you but, as you all know, this is a busy time of year and time is like a vapor!
Visit my blog sometime and I may have a box for you in the future!
Thank you for stopping today!
Until next,
Happy Crafting!

Liz Munoz :: Plant One On Me!

Hi Everyone, it's Liz from Liz's Paper Loft again for my third week as Peachy Keen's May Guest Designer!  I can't believe that this month is almost over, it's just flown by!  That's what happens when you have lots of fun playing with "peachy goodness"!  lol

For today's card I used PKSC-16 April 2013 .  This set is just darling with all of the sweet image and fun sentiments!

I simply stamped the same flower 3 times.  Colored with my copic markers, then "fussy cut" them out and added a rhinestone to the each of the centers.  Use a die cut for the banner and stamped the
funny sentiment.  Easy Peasy!

For the complete recipe, you click here to go to my blog!

Have a wonder rest of the week and I'll be back next week for my last post as this month's Guest Designer!

Enjoy!

Hello everyone! This is GiGi here from The Cricut Bug to share a super sweet card. I just LOVE how great the Peachy Keen face stamps go along with these adorable SVG Cutting Files cuts.

How CAUUUTE is that bee girl? And she's even CUTER with that adorable Peachy Keen face! The file is called Cute As Can Bee and they're from the SVG Cutting Files store.

To create the card, I welded 2 of the hive's together to create the card shape and then cut the layer pieces. I cut the bee girl and stamped her face with a Peachy Keen Sweet And Silly face. The sentiments are from the Peachy Keen Honey Sentiments and I stamped them to banners that I tucked behind the hive pieces.

I hope you all enjoyed seeing my card and thanks for stopping in! Have a great day!

And now, a CUTE watermelon card created by Jeanne Streiff!

Hi! Jeanne here today.
I had fun making this watermeloncard made with PK-180 Erkle and Merkle Face Assortment PK-180 Erkle and Merkle Face Assortment.

I created a pink standard card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2") and then added a strip of green cardstock that I smudged and doodled on with white acrylic paint, green ink and a fine black pen. I just played with it until it looked "watermelony". I used a corner rounder punch on the bottom corners. I stamped the face next (1 3/8" face) and painted the eyes with white and green acylic paint. I used a Scallop Circle Framelits (Sizzix) die to take a chomp out of the top of my card. As a final step I freehanded the seeds with a black pen and then went over them with glitter glue for some extra sparkle.
