Guest Designer Julie's Crafty Spot Day 3

Hi fellow crafters! It's Julie from Julie's Crafty Spot.

Welcome to day 3 of my week with Peachy Keen Stamps.

My project today is another simple one. Yesterday I showed you the invitation to my cookie swap. Today I am featuring one of the recipe cards I will be handing out at the cookie swap.

The stamp I used for this is PK-400 Baker's Man Jr. (Can you tell that I love Gingerbread men?)

I cut the recipe card using the From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge at 3.5 inches.

Don't forget to leave me a comment either here or on MY BLOG for a chance to win the PK-417 Faceless Gingerbread Doll set

Happy Crafting!

Guest Designer Julie's Crafty Spot Day 2

Hi it's Julie from Julie's Crafty Spot.

Welcome to Day 2 of my week with Peachy Keen Stamps.

Today I am sharing the card I made using this week's sketch over at the challenge blog.

My card is an invitation to a Holiday Cookie Exchange that I will be hosting over the weekend. I used Al from the PK-416 Lorie and All Gingerbread Set.
I colored him with copics and then used a snow writer for the frosting on the spatula to add a little texture and dimension. The christmas tree tag is from the Gingerbread Cricut cartridge.

Don't forget to leave a comment here or on MY BLOG for your chance to win the PK-417 Faceless Gingerbread Doll set. I will be drawing one lucky winner from all of the comments from throughout the week.

Happy Crafting!

Guest Designer Julie's Crafty Spot Day 1

Hello Peachy Keen stampers! I am Julie from Julie's Crafty Spot. I am so excited to be the guest designer for this week. I have been waiting almost a year since being asked to be a guest designer and I am so happy that my wait is finally over!

For my project today, I decided to make fun little gifts that can be handed out anytime during Christmas.

I made an elf and a Santa candy bar wrappers.

These wrappers are very easy to make using regular size chocolate bars. Aren't those faces just too cute!? I used the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut cartridge for the heads, hats and elf shoes. I had some of this fun fur trim left over from another project and thought it would work great on Santa's suit. Belt buckles, ribbon, bells, pom poms and flower soft finished off the projects.

I hope that you liked this fun little project. Peachy Keen Stamps was generous enough to let me pick out a little something from the store to give to one lucky person this week.

I chose the PK 417 Faceless Gingerbread Doll Lg set

They are just too cute and I can't wait to show you the project I made using this set later in the week.

All you need to do to be eligible to win this set is to leave a comment here or on MY BLOG. I will draw one lucky winner from all of the comments at the end of the week.

Happy Crafting!

Guest Designer - Snip Tuck Design - Winner!!!

I have had such a great time being the Guest Designer here at PKS. It has motivated me to do things that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I added templates to my blog, started my own Etsy Store, and even did my first video. Granted it was just showing how the mood box turns, but it was a jump start to actually create videos to show you how to put together my designs. I had many questions about the Santa Advent Calendar and where I got the container. I created it. I do all my designs in a CAD program and then bring them into Adobe Illustrator to convert them to be cutting files to work with most of the die cutters that are out there. I am a Packaging Engineer by trade, so designing 3d items like that comes very natural to me. Here is a picture of what it looks like flat.

By the end of the weekend all of my designs that I did this week will be available to purchase from my blog (day 1 and day 3 are there now, but I’m still working on day 4 and day 5).

Now to what you’ve all been waiting for…let’s get to the winner.

The WINNER is…..

Jamie Larsen

Congratulations Jamie. I will be emailing you shortly.

We can only have one lucky person walk away with the fabulous Peachy Keen Stamps, but I would like to give a consolation prize to all the wonderful ladies that have been following along all week. The comments that you’ve written have meant so much to me, so in return I would like to give you the cutting files for one of my designs. If you don’t own a die cutter, you can use the pdf file to print and hand cut. All you have to do is email me and let me know which design you pick . Here are the designs again:

School Supply Bus

4-pack Valentine’s Day Carrier and Heart Box

Mood Box

Santa Advent Calendar

Thanks again to PKS and all the fabulous crafters that have followed along.

Guest Designer - Snip Tuck Design - Day 5

Well, it’s been such a fun week for me. I have to start out by thanking all the fabulous people at Peachy Keen Stamps. I actually got so busy with life that before this week, I hadn’t posted anything to my blog since February. It feels so great to be crafting again and even better to get such amazing comments from everyone. You have all be so generous with the kind things you’ve said. Thank you.

I saved my Christmas project for last. I figured I should go big or go home.

This is my version of an advent calendar. I created the container to hold 25 tubes, one for every day in December until Christmas. Each tube is filled with candy and has a tag on it for each day. The inside opens up and you can write anything you want inside. I had to find candy that was small enough to fit in each tube, so I used nerds, mini m&ms, and tic tacs.

I used tiny rubber bands that I found at the dollar store to hold the tags on to the caps.

I really had no idea how I was going to decorate this container and how I was going to incorporate PKS into it. I decided to cut it out in red. I knew that I had some white fuzzy trim that would look good with the red, so I added that to the bottom. At that point, the first thing that came to my mind was that it looked like Santa’s coat. The rest of the project quickly took form. I cut a Santa head on my Cricut and found the biggest face stamp that I had. It is the 1 3/8” face from PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment. I added the belt and all the fur to his face, and Santa was complete.

Here’s your last chance to win some blog candy? Peachy Keen has been so generous to let me give away a set of their stamps. For a chance to win the PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Faces Assortment ($25 value) please leave me a comment here and then head over to Peachy Keen Stamps and
comment on their blog too. I'd also love to have you as a follower, but it’s not required to win.
Check back tomorrow to see if you’ve won. Good luck!

Guest Designer - Snip Tuck Design - Day 4

I can’t believe it’s already day 4 of my guest week at PKS. Today I created a mood box. It can display 8 different moods. I decided to add some pictures of my kids on the sides and a calendar in the back. All the frames are open at the top so I can easily switch out the pictures and calendar. The face stamps that I used for the moods are PK-692 Monster Mash Face Assortment, PK-532 Simple Sallies, PK-570 Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment, and PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment.

The box inside has eight sides. The face on one side matches the label on the opposite side. This allows you to see what mood you are displaying as the box sits on your desk. There is a dowel that is glued in the center of the box. I added a wood knob at the top so it could turn easily.

Here is a video to show the mood calendar in action.

Guest Designer - Snip Tuck Design - Day 3

It’s Cathy and I’m back with another 3d project. Although Christmas is my favorite holiday, I just love making little gifts for Valentine’s Day. It’s the one holiday that I make something for every kid in my son and daughter’s classes. Last year I made 50 little mail boxes. This project that I made for you this week is a gift that I think anyone would love to receive. I designed a 4-pack carrier that is approximately 3.5” x 3.5” x 5.5” tall. I also made little plastic boxes to fit perfectly in each compartment. All of this was cut on my Pazzles diecutter. Each box is filled with candy and is topped with the cutest glitter faces ever. The face with the glasses is by far my favorite, from my newest stamp set, PK532-Simple Sallies 1 1/8”. The others are from PK-500-Snow Cutie Face Assortment, PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment, and PK-570 Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment.

I was really pleased with how cute the faces turned out in glitter.

Guest Designer - Snip Tuck Design - Day 2

Hi again. This is Cathy at Snip Tuck Design, with my project for Day 2 of my guest designer week. Today is the Tuesday Challenge so I've made something based off the sketch provided.

There is also a twist to this challenge, in that you can paper piece your stamped image to give it a bit of dimension and flair. This was a project of firsts for me. It was the first time that I've ever done a project following a sketch and the first time I paper pieced a stamped image. I am still very new to using image stamps.

I wanted to make something for Thanksgiving, and PKS has the perfect stamp set for just that. I used CB-03 Tanner Turkey for my card.

It's not just a card though. The top folds back and it becomes a place setting name card for your Thanksgiving dinner. The sentiment included in the set, Gobble 'Til Ya Wobble!  was quite appropriate for something that will be sitting on the table with all that yummy food.

I love how the stamp turned out on suede paper. The turkey stamp was so great to paper piece. I stamped three images in order to get the dimension.

How about another chance to win some blog candy? Peachy Keen has been so generous to let me give away a set of their stamps. For a chance to win the PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Faces Assortment ($25 value) please leave me a comment here and then head over to www.sniptuckdesign.com and comment on my blog too. Guest Designer - Snip Tuck Design - Day 1

Hi, it's Cathy from Snip Tuck Design. I am beyond thrilled to be the featured Guest Designer this week at Peachy Keen Stamps. To give you a little background, I have been paper crafting for just a couple years and primarily create 3d projects. My goal when I started my blog in May 2010 was to create an online store and design and sell my own templates. It took a year and a half, but with the gift of being showcased on Peachy Keen Stamps, I was motivated to make this goal a reality. All of my 3d projects that I will be sharing with you can now be purchased from my blog.

This first project is a school supply bus that is transporting the Peachy Keen Kids to school at Peachy Keen Elementary. I am totally in love with all their face stamps. The ones that I used for this project are PK-570 Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment and PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment.

The bus is made of chipboard and embellished with buttons and gems for the lights. Several elements were created on the computer, then hand cut and glued to the bus. The kids, windows, and pencil handle were cut with my Cricut. The top of the bus has separate compartments for pens/pencils, paperclips, and glue sticks.

The back of the bus folds down to access a post-it note pad. Lastly, the door of the bus opens to reveal a tape dispenser.

How about some blog candy? Peachy Keen has been so generous to let me give away a set of their stamps. For a chance to win the PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids Faces Assortment ($25 value) please leave me a comment here on this blog and then head over to my blog at http://www.sniptuckdesign.com/ and leave me a comment there too. Guest Designer - Totally Twisted Cards - Day 5

Happy Veterans Day everyone!  I wanted to give a special thanks to all the men and women that serve our country.  Thank you for keeping us safe and for protecting our great nation!

I cannot believe that this is the final day of my guest designer week!  I'm so grateful that Peachy Keen has given me such a wonderful opportunity to create projects with their awesome stamps and to share them with all of you  Thank you Peachy Keen and thanks to everyone that followed along all week! I love reading your comments.

Today is Let's Face It Friday so for the challenge I got to create a design team sample for you.  Your challenge is to create a page or card using a PK face stamp that holds your favorite holiday recipe.  So, I created the following card.  I was dying to create some gingerbread people with PK-521 Winter Faces.  Most of the paper is DCWV -- except for the green paper on the inside of the card for which I used the Mr. Frosty Imagine cartridge to make the paper.  I used the Jolly Holidays Cricut cartridge for the gingerbread people and the Storybook cartridge to weld together two shapes to make the shaped card.  I finished it up with a little Copic coloring and some bling.  I hope you enjoy it.  I cannot wait to see what you create for the challenge. Don't forget to link it up on PK's challenge page before the deadline.

Today is the last day you can enter to win the Peachy Keen stamps below.  Peachy Keen has been so gracious to let me give them away.  All you have to do is leave a comment on any of my blog posts this week.  The more posts you comment on, the better your chances to win.  When you are done posting here, don't forget to head on over to my blog at www.totallytwistedcards.com/content and leave me some lovin there too.  If you like my blog, I'd love to have you as a follower.  One lucky commenter will win both stamp sets.  Winner will be announced on Saturday.  Good luck!
