Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 4: Day 4

Hi Peachy Friends! It's Joy from Joy's Life.com. Today is Day 4 of my Guest Designer Week with Peachy Keen! I am having a GREAT TIME stamping with the Peachy Keen stamps! Today I've made pillow boxes and a milk carton. Don't worry...it's not a real milk carton. LOL! It holds candy!!

Sizzix Pillow Boxes on the right and left, Sizzix Milk Carton in the Middle

Here I'm using the Peachy Keen PK-754 Critter Face stamps and Joy's Life Lots of Pun stamps to create some cute animal tags and sayings to go along with these fun containers.

I love my Cricut. You know that, of course. I've used it to make pillow boxes and milk cartons before. Here's a link to the Cricut made pillow boxes and to the milk carton. So, you might wonder why I bought those very dies from Sizzix. Right? Well, sometimes it's nice to have a change and not have to use the Cricut. Plus, you can use thicker materials with the dies than you can with the Cricut. You can also cut multiple things at one time. The real downside is not being able to adjust sizes. Regardless, I had fun using these dies with my Big Shot. It's especially nice to have dies for cuts you will make often.

Buttons + Copics + Stamps = Pretty

I used Copic markers to color in the stamps. I also used a Signo white gel pen to color in all of the white areas including the "cow" word. I used chalk to give the cheeks of the animals a little color. That Stampin Up punch helped me give a fun shape to the animal tags.

I love pillow boxes! They're so prettily shaped and useful.

These Peachy Keen Critter Faces are sooo cute!!

You can see how the milk carton can pour out its contents if you look at the top right side of it. I did use my Cricut in this project, just not to make the containers. I used it to make the flower on the milk carton. That flower is cut at 1-1/2" using the Mother's Day Bouquet Seasonal Cricut cartridge.

And now...time for a fun Give Away!!

Peachy Keen has given me a set of their PK-754 Critter Faces Set A to give away during my week of Guest Designing. YAY! Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 4: Day 3

Hi Peachy Friends! It's Joy from Joy's Life.com. Today is Day 3 of my Guest Designer Week with Peachy Keen! I am having a GREAT TIME spending a week working with the Peachy Keen stamps. Today I've created some cupcake wrappers using the Cricut Lite Cupcake Wrappers cartridge. (You can find that cartridge at Walmart.) Wait until you see how cute these toppers turned out!! Drum roll please...da da da da da da da da .... BANG!

YUMMY AND PRETTY!

Are you in LOVE with these? I need to sing like Ariel the Mermaid for a moment. Excuse me. "Ahhh ahhh ahhhh...ahHH aHHH AHHH". I'm done now. In that photo I'm using the Peachy Keen PK-681 Retro Paper Doll Faces again. I LOVE THEM! I just used them in Monday's post. You can see that post HERE.

I recently made some Tim Holtz paper rosettes using his Sizzix die. I put them to great use as beautiful cupcake topper adornments! I also used a 2" scalloped punch to make those polka dotted circles. They serve a purpose besides being cute; they hide the stick. I'm using drink stirrers as the sticks.

Here's a link to the Tim Holtz Sizzix Paper Rosette Video I Made

Here's a side photo of the cupcake toppers.
Pop dots and Zip Dry and Tape OH MY!

On the one side you have Peachy Keen faces, on the other side are Joy's Life All Around Sentiments stamps. I used Copic markers to color in the Peachy Keen faces. You can read about the ones I used in this previous Peachy Keen post. I colored in the center flower on the Happy B'day stamp using Stickles.

I used my Xyron to help me put together the cupcake wrappers. It is such a time saver!! Ok, time to talk about the Cricut Lite Cupcake cartridge. People have a love/hate relationship with that cart. It can be very difficult to figure out what size to cut the wrappers and to get them to cut out without tearing. Here's what I suggest: use the Real Dial size for these wrappers. I cut these out at 3 1/2". ALSO...slow it down!! Slow your machine to Speed 3. You might also want to use Multi Cut 2. Sometimes those things don't get completely cut out. Doing a multi-cut should help, especially when using cardstock instead of a thinner paper. I used Stampin' Up paper for most of these wrappers.

This is my favorite Peachy Keen face stamp so far! She's fun to color!

Have a great day everyone! Time to eat my creation. LOL!

And now...time for a fun Give Away!!

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 4: Day 2

Hi Friends! It's Joy with Joy's Life.com. I'm happy to be back for Day 2 of my week with Peachy Keen!! Today I've made a card using the PK-754 Critter Faces Set A for the bear face.

KEEP Traveling down the page for the video.

I had a good time using my Gypsy along with 3 cartridges to create a card that ROCKS!! Literally. It rocks back and forth. LOL!

I used the Cricut Lite Carousel cartridge to make the majority of the card. It has a very plain circus bear on that cartridge, but with the addition of layering, embossing, Stickles and the Peachy Keen stamps that I used, I was able to give this bear some much needed pizazz!

Here's the card in progress. The "You Rock" sentiment is from Joy's Life Father & Sons stamps. It's sharing the block with that cute Peachy Keen face that I used for the bear.

Here's a video showing you how to make "a card that rocks"!!
