Welcome back to day 3 of my week as guest designer for Peachy Keen Stamps! First...let me apologize for the quality of the photos....my camera is acting up and wont let me take any pictures so I had to use my camera phone and it just doesn't show detail as well as the camera does :(
Anyway....I am loving how today's project turned out! I have created a homework station for my kiddos. They each have a slot to keep their important papers and folders that I created using shipping boxes. I cut and covered the boxes with this fun faux wood contact paper. (I didn't even plan for it to match the shelf I put it on LOL) I made a little box in the front to hold things like pens, pencils, dry erase markers, ect. to be ready when needed. Then I cut out some cute faces with my cricut using the Paper Doll Dress up cartridges and used the Laughy Taffy face stamps by Peachy Keen Stamps to add the perfect little faces!
I used the same faces (but smaller ;) ) to create some magnets for the kiddo calender above. I will use this to keep track of all things kiddo related (dr. appt. , tests, sporting events, etc.)
The kids really like how it turned out too!!!!

My kids go back to school this week and I am following along with the other awesome designers and going with the unplanned theme of the month....BACK TO SCHOOL. :)
Today I have a fun shaker card for one of my children to share with their teacher. I was at a small Bulk food store a couple of weeks ago and found a bag of Alphabet noodles and knew exactly what I wanted to do. I love how perfect the Critter Face stamp worked along with the apple from the Faceless Fruit set. I think it is just adorable!

I think this little girl is such a CUTIE especially thanks to her darling Peachy Face! I used 'Princess Faces' for her super sweet face. I also used a background stamp called 'Punched Tin' by Market Street Stamps for her dress. I seriously want dresses with that same pattern on it for my girls!

Glora's Crafts - Guest Designer Week 32 - Day 4
Hi and welcome to day 4 of my time over at Peachy Keen Stamps! I'm just LOVING every minute of it! I hope you are too! For today's back to school project I made an altered frame to display my daughter's 1st day of school picture.
I had so much fun with this project! The darling Peachy Faces I used today are: Critter Faces for the boy and Princess Faces for the girl. I used these faces on cuts from the Playtime Cricut cartridge. I must admit that this cartridge wouldn't have even appealed to me if it weren't for Peachy Keen Face Stamps. I just love how cute they make these little kids.
I also used an old paper punch for the butterflies and hand doodled behind them. I used Emma's new 'Stitched Oval Die' at the bottom of the frame as well as part of a sentiment stamp from her 'Gift Card Sentiments.'
Thanks so much for your sweet comments and support. They mean so much to me! Hugs- Glora

Glora's Crafts - Guest Designer Week 32 - Day 3
Wow, this week is flying by. I'm already half way through my Peachy, dream come true, designer spot. For today's back to school project I made some backpack shaped treat containers.
So those are the fronts and here are the backs of the backpacks:
The backpack pattern comes from a Cricut Cartridge called 'Life's a Party'. I first saw this backpack container on my friend, Simply Pam's blog. If you are interested in seeing a video tutorial on it click HERE, and you can go to her blog post.
Now onto the details for each of these...
This one was made using textured cardstock. I cut the container out and then I made my own patterned paper by stamping it with BEAUTIFUL sentiments off of PK-851 Teacher Says! Phrases & Faces. This set is AWESOME. As a mom I am all for having these kinds of encouraging sentiments on hand. I was going with a star theme on this one, so for my home made patterned paper I filled in with some awesome star stamps from Market Street Stamps' 'Blast Off' stamp set. And yes, that darling star in the front is a Peachy Keen Stamp. All I did was cut out a star from George and Basic Shapes at 2.25" and this darling 'You are a star...' stamp fits perfectly inside.
For this backpack, I started with a basic piece of patterned cardstock. I stamped it randomly with the same 'Teachers Says! Phrases & Faces.' However, I also incorporated a few stamps from Emma's 'My Teacher Rocks!' set. I cut an apple from the Create a Critter cartridge and stamped it with one of the adorable faces that comes with the 'Teacher Says! Phrases & Faces.'
I want you to see just how cute this set is, so here is a picture of it...
I'm not a school teacher, but I think this set is PERFECT. Plus it comes with 3 adorable 'Basic Paperdoll Faces.' Love it!
Okay, I won't keep you any longer for today. Thanks for dropping by and I hope you have a FABULOUS day! And thank you so much for all your sweet comments. They have been so fun to read! Hugs- Glora

Glora's Crafts - Guest Designer Week 32 - Day 2
Hello friends, welcome to day 2 of my Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week. Today is the beginning of a new sketch challenge over at Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog and I am BEYOND thrilled to be designing along with the Peachy Keen Stamps Design Team. They are so talented, incredibly sweet and wonderful ladies. I am happy to say that I draw much inspiration from each of them and consider them dear friends!
For this sketch challenge there is a twist and that twist is to use BUTTONS somewhere on your project. Sticking with my 'Back to School' theme, I made an altered notebook for my daughter. This will be her 'School Journal' where she can practice her spelling words, write stories, draw pictures, etc.
I used the Snow Cuties Face for the girl's darling face, I used Simple Sallies for the face on the one little apple and I used the Extra Small Polka Dots for the polka dot print on my girl's shirt (I heat embossed it). All of these beautiful stamps are in the Peachy Keen store.
I also used Emma's My Teacher Rocks! stamp set for both the little note in the girl's hand as well as the homework list on the chalk board. And last, but not least I used the beautiful Woodgrain background stamp from Market Street Stamps for the wood grain on the chalkboard. All of these stamps are manufactured by Peachy Keen Stamps and they are the best quality! I LOVE them!
Thanks so much for dropping by today!!! I appreciate all of you taking the time to support and encourage me. I hope that I do a little of the same in return. Have a wonderful day! HUGS- Glora

Glora's Crafts - Guest Designer Week 32 - Day 1
Hello, Peachy Keen Friends. Today is the first day of my guest designer spot for Peachy Keen Stamps and I'm thrilled. When I realized that my Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week and the start of school (in my neck of the woods) would coincide it seemed only natural to plan 'back to school' projects. At the time I didn't realize how popular that theme was going to be this month. Nevertheless, I'm VERY excited to share with you some fun projects that I made with a 'back to school' theme in mind.
Today, I have one of my favorite kinds of cards to share with you. I call it a spinner card and was originally inspired to make this kind of card when I saw THIS card on Nikki (Scrappin' Navy Wife's) blog. I have a picture tutorial for this kind of card HERE if you are interested in making one of these yourself. If you do make one, let me know I'd love to come and see it!
So here is the first face of my back to school girl:
I had to start with this sad face because I have to admit that the very first day of school can be scary or sad at first for the child (in my case for the MOM)! But don't worry because it gets better, as you turn the dial...
You get a smiley face. Yes, the little girl finds out that school really is fun and she is having a great time (and that makes this whole school thing easier for Mom too) and then turn the dial one last time and we find...
This little girl leaves school SO happy and she is super excited just thinking about the next day!
Don't those darling faces just bring this girl to LIFE?! I seriously LOVE my Peachy Keen Stamps to pieces. For this project I used one of my favorite sets called Wide Eyed Kids. I also used the adorable Princess Face stamps.
The darling Back to School sentiment is from the My Teacher Rocks! stamp set by My Creative Time as well as that cute stitched circle in the corner. It is from the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die set (I just cut it down to fit in the corner).
Here is a VERY short video just showing how the card looks as you turn the dial. If you are interested in the picture tutorial on making this card click HERE.
The prize for this week, which was generously donated by Peachy Keen Stamps, is the new Winter Wonderland Face Assortment.
