Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 4: Day 1

Hi Friends! It's Joy with Joy's Life.com. I'm so happy to have been invited to be a Guest Designer on the Peachy Keen blog this week! I remember when I bought my very first Peachy Keen stamps and it's a very special honor to now be able to be a part of their blog for a week.

XO Valentine Card
I love the Peachy Keen face stamps. They're so much fun and they make me look like I can draw...what's not to love there? LOL! Seriously though, I had super fun making this card and using these stamps. Let me tell you how I did it.

I used the Peachy Keen PK-681 Retro Paper Doll Faces to create my little heart faced friends. The "I love you" sentiment is from the Joy's Life Mother & Daughter stamp set. I used my Gypsy to weld the XO with another XO to form the card. The XO comes from Smiley Cards, which was a downloadable only Gypsy digital cartridge. You can learn more about it here. I also used a heart from another cartridge and welded it inside the "O". I flipped the heart over for some contrast. Yet another reason to love double sided paper!

Aren't those faces soooo cute?! I LOVE THEM!

I used a Sizzix Textured Impressions Hearts embossing folder along with my Cuttlebug to create the raised hearts embossing. The shiny green paper in the back is by Bazzill and the rest of the paper is from my scrap stash. (I'm trying to whittle down my scraps a bit.) I used a Signo white gel pen to draw on some stitching around the edges of the card and also for the whites of the eyes and the mouths. I colored in the faces using Copic markers. If you haven't tried them...you should. You're going to LOVE THEM!

Here's are the Copic marker colors that I used. I used the Skin White EOO color over the eyelids. It would be great to own all of the Copic markers, but they are really expensive. I buy a few at a time. Purchase a blending Copic to get more use out of the colors you own and for cool blending effects.

I stamped the Joy's Life "I Love You" sentiment and punched it out using a punch from Stampin Up. I punched a hole in either side of the paper and used the needle and thread from my Sew Easy (Here's a link to a Sew Easy video I made) to thread and make those little bows. I popped up the tag using pop dots.
And now...time for a fun Give Away!!

Peachy Keen has given me a set of their PK-754 Critter Faces Set A to give away during my week of Guest Designing. YAY! All you have to do to be entered for a chance to win these cute stamps is to leave a comment here and also on my post on my blog www.joyslife.com. I'll choose a winner Saturday, Feb 5 and post the winner on Friday's post on Joy's Life.

Have a Peachy Day!! I'll see you tomorrow with a new Peachy creation.

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 3: Day 5

Happy Friday all my sweet bloggy friends! Erika here from Cricutlove!
I am a little sad that today is my last post for my Guest Designer week over at Peachy Keen Stamps, but I had a wonderful time sharing all my projects with all of you and I am so glad to have made some new friends along the way!!

For today I made a special card for the Peachy Family!! Thank you all so much for having me as a guest designer and for giving us these great stamps that give our projects life!! I remember the first time I saw Peachy keen face stamps, I watcged a video with Ms. Heidi showing how to stamp the faces on paper dolls, that was all it took I was in love lol and soon I got my first set which is my favorite {princess face assortment}. Next to my cricut these stamps are my favorite scrapping tools {look at my blog on the desk you will see}.

I like to take cuts and make them a little different than they were meant to be, I took the little girl holding the cat from the playtime cartridge and cut out the cat and added the Peachy Keen Peach in her hands. The peach is from the insert that comes with the stamps I made a copy and cut it out.

Here is a close up of the little girl

On the inside a wrote a little note { sorry I tried to write it as neatley as I could}

For today I have another food card {haha} this one came at the request of my sister who wanted to give her fiance a special Valentine's card. She specifically wanted these cuts because when he proposed to her he told her you are the burger to my fries {he is such a nerd..well they both are so they are perfect for each other}!
I left the inside of the card blank so she could write whatever she wanted!

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 3: Day 2

Good morning all my sweet friends this is Erika from CricutLove again!
I am still smiling ear to ear  because today is day 2 of my Guest week!

And it is Tuesday Sketch Challenge day here and  this time with a twist the twist is to use a monochromatic color scheme!

This definitely was a challenge for me I was like mono what lol! I finally figured it out and had so much fun making this card for my Hubby!
Well this card is funny because he HATES peas, but when I was pregnant with our first baby I was craving peas like no one's business!  He had no choice but to eat them or starve {haha} so now whenever I make them he always reminds me that he ate enough peas to last him a life time those nine months!
Inside of my card I added another little pea cause they are so cute!
Materials used:
  • George cartridge {card was cut @ 5.5in; inner square cut @ 4in}
  • Peachy Keen Princess Face assortment
  • tria markers
  • sizzix embossing folder {cuttlebug}
  • White Jelly Roll Pen
  • Chalk
  • Ribbon {from walmart}
  • Paper is from walmart {can't remember the brand it is old}
  • pop dots {for peas}
  • Once again I did the sentiment on my computer because I could not find a stamp that had the right words :)
Don't forget that I am giving away {courtesy of PKS} the New Year's Face assortment
In order to win these you must
  • Leave a comment on this post
  • Leave a comment on my blog CricutLove

Peachy Keen Guest Designer Week 3: Day 1

Good morning everyone! This is Erika from Cricutlove!
I have been very busy in my craftroom Peachifying, do you know why? Well it is because I am the guest designer this week for Peachy Keen stamps!! I am beyond thirlled that I will get to share some of my projects with all of you!

Well since Valentine's Day is right around the corner I decided for my first project I would make a cute little card to send to my sweet baby sister!

Isn't the penguin the cutest thing ever!!

Materials used for this sweet little card:
  • Holly Jolly Lite Cartridge {penguin was cut at 2.5 inches}
  • George Cartridge {hearts cut at .5 in} & {card base was cut out at 4.5 inches}
  • Sweet face was stamped with {PK Happy Lashes Face assortment}
  • Tria markers to color in the beak and feet
  • I used my jelly roll pen for all the stitching
  • Paper is from K&Company Valentine paper stack
Now for the sentiment I could not find a stamp that had what I wanted to say so I made my own!  I used microsoft word and wrote out the sentiment and printed it out. To add it to the paper on my card , {the polka dot paper} I held it up to the light and used doulbe sided tape to adhere it to the priner paper where I wanted the sentement and ran in back through the printer and Viola lol!!

Oh I almost forgot to mention PKS was so generous to give me a little something to give away during my guest spot!

All you have to do win is
  •  Leave a comment here
  •  Also please stop by my blog and leave me a comment
Thank you for joining me today don't forget to stop by tomorrow for day 2 of my Peachy Keen week!
